What file formats can Madomi read?

You can import single files, several files as one chapter, or a whole folder at once, and each archive or subfolder inside it becomes a chapter. You can also send files to Madomi from other apps using the share sheet or “Open in…”.
Is the manga reader free?
Yes. The reader is completely free: every reading mode, your own library, online sources, Komga, global search, downloads and reading history. Can I read manga offline?
Yes. Files you import are stored on your device, and chapters from online sources can be downloaded for offline reading. Pages you have already translated are saved too, so you can read the translated version without a connection.
Does Madomi support Mihon / Tachiyomi extensions and backups?
Yes. Madomi can install Mihon / Tachiyomi-compatible source extensions, and it imports Mihon
.tachibk backups as well as Tachimanga .tmb backups, so your library, categories, reading progress and tracking come across. Madomi can export its own backups too, automatically on a schedule.Can I connect Madomi to my Komga server?
Yes. The Komga source is bundled, so you can point Madomi at your own self-hosted Komga library and read it like any other source, with translation on top.
Which reading modes does Madomi support?
Five: left-to-right and right-to-left paged, vertical paged, webtoon (continuous, no gaps) and continuous with gaps. Chapters load continuously in both directions, so you can keep scrolling from one chapter into the next without leaving the reader.
Which languages can Madomi translate?
Madomi translates from Japanese, Korean, Chinese and many other source languages into a wide range of target languages. The app interface itself is available in 26 languages.
Can Madomi keep character names consistent?
Yes. Each manga can have its own glossary of character names, nicknames and genders, which the AI follows when translating. You can import characters from AniList in one tap instead of typing them in.
Does Madomi sync with MyAnimeList or AniList?
Yes. You can connect MyAnimeList and AniList and Madomi updates your progress the moment you finish a chapter. It works both ways: if you edit your list on the MyAnimeList or AniList site, Madomi pulls those changes back in. Tracking is part of the Madomi Reader tier, which is also included with Premium Plus.
How do I buy Madomi Reader, and how much is it?
Madomi Reader is a one-time in-app purchase, sold only inside the Android and iOS apps. There is no web checkout for it, so the current price is shown in the app on your device. Open Madomi, go to the paywall and choose the Reader tab. It is a lifetime purchase, not a subscription, and it is also included with a Premium Plus subscription.
Does Madomi notify me when a new chapter is out?
Yes. Follow a manga and Madomi sends you a push notification as soon as a new chapter is released, and tapping it opens that manga in your library on whichever device you are holding. The watching happens on our servers, not on your phone, so it works even if the app has been closed for days. You can follow up to 50 series. Chapter release alerts are part of the Madomi Reader tier, which is also included with Premium Plus.
Can I see my reading statistics?
Yes, and it is free for everyone. Madomi has a Statistics screen showing how long you have read, how many chapters you have finished, how many titles you have started and completed, your tracker scores, and your most-read manga. Every manga also shows how long you have spent reading it on its own page.
Is Madomi the same app as Fakey?
Yes. Madomi is the new name for Fakey. Your subscription, credits, and login all carry over. Nothing changes except the name and the new reader features being added on top.
Why does it still say "Fakey" on my device?
The rename rolls out store by store (Play Store, App Store, Chrome Web Store, Firefox), each on its own review timeline. You may see both names for a few weeks. It's the same app underneath.
